H1. (Introduction) Date: April 2026 (Reflecting on March 31) One of the most practical financial tools in Cambodia is Wing Bank’s agent network. On **March 31**, while preparing for my trip, I documented the process of sending money through an agent. This system allows anyone to transfer funds even if the recipient doesn’t have a bank account. All it takes is a phone number and a secure password.
H2. (The Body)The “Send via Agent” Mechanism As you can see from my **March 31** receipt, the process is incredibly convenient. The sender goes to a Wing agent, provides the cash, and specifies the recipient’s phone number. The agent then prints this receipt. The recipient simply needs to go to any Wing booth, show their ID or phone, and provide the **phone number (matching the one on the receipt)** along with the **secure password** set during the transaction. No physical card is required. H3. Small Amounts vs. Large Transfers It’s important to note that Wing Bank’s agent network is primarily designed for **small-scale, rapid transfers**. For travelers or local families, it’s the king of convenience for daily expenses. However, for **large-sum business transactions**, the formal banking system (like ABA or ACLEDA) remains the primary choice for security and lower percentage-based fees. This system is the “fast food” of finance—quick, accessible, and perfect for small amounts.
